Governance

Tennessee Technology Center at Harriman is governed by the Tennessee Board of Regents, and is one of 45 institutions in the seventh largest system of higher education in the nation. The 1963 General Assembly of Tennessee enacted legislation to provide a statewide system of technical centers. Each center was designed to serve trainees by providing technical instruction and skill training. The Harriman Center began classes in 1970 and now serves a broad geographical area that includes Anderson, Loudon, Meigs, Morgan, Rhea, and Roane Counties.
