Customized Industry Training

With the economy and the face of business and industry constantly changing, demand is high for a qualified and skilled workforce in Tennessee. Tennessee Technology Center at Harriman is proud to be a key provider of state-of-art training for business and industry in and around the Roane County area. Sometimes companies need to train their employees new job skills. We call this Customized Industry Training. It combines the “individual” training needs of a business or industry with our institutions ability to create, customize and implement a “job specific” training program that meets the unique needs of that particular company. All courses are individualized with the help of company management to insure that the employees enrolled in the program receive the skills they need to meet that company’s specific technical requirements. Some examples of courses are: Forklift Training, Welding, Programmable Logic Controllers, Machinist, Electrical Apprenticeship, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Microsoft Office programs, SCBA, Certified Nursing Assistant and Basic Skills. Companies have found this particular type of partnership greatly reduces training expenses, decreases the time required to train and retrain existing employees and promotes greater productivity because management’s time can be more efficiently allocated.
