Charging of Fees/Books to Financial Aid Award
You are permitted to charge your maintenance and technology fees to your Pell Grant; however, books and supplies cannot be charged against the Pell Grant. If you are also eligible for the Lottery Scholarship, you may charge any book or supply costs to the Scholarship. You should review your Financial Aid Award Letter to determine the maximum amounts you can charge per term.
Students who are not eligible for the Pell Grant but who receive the Lottery Scholarship may charge tuition and/or books to the Lottery Scholarship up to the amount of the term award. All book and supply costs charged to financial aid must be purchased through the Center’s Bookstore. Students will be allowed to charge books/supplies to financial aid only on the first day of the term or a new student’s first day of enrollment.
Financial Aid Check Disbursements
Check disbursements for the remaining financial aid awards (if applicable) are made twice each term. The first disbursement is approximately 51 instructional days from the beginning of the term, and the second disbursement is the last day of the term. Students who register any time after the first day of the term or are on financial aid probation will not receive their disbursement until the last day of the term.
The Student Services Office will notify all students of dates for check disbursements. To obtain checks, students must present a picture ID to the Center’s Business Office.
