Is your student uncertain about his/her career choice?
Tennessee Technology Center at Harriman has an online assessment to assist students in determining the right direction. The Kuder® Career Planning System is available free of charge and is an excellent tool to being lifelong career planning. Click here to find out more.
Is your student interested in the Practical Nursing Program?
Tennessee Technology Center at Harriman fully supports students who are interested in the nursing field. We strongly recommend that interested students take classes in math and health science during high school. Click Here to find out more.
TTC Harriman Director’s Scholarship
We currently have several scholarships available to students in Roane, Morgan, Cumberland, and Anderson Counties. This scholarship is in addition to the Federal Pell Grant and Wilder-Naifeh Technical Skills Grant awarded by the TN Lottery of $2000.00 for students who have lived in TN for one year and have graduated from high school or achieved a GED.
Each recipient will receive a total of $500, paid directly to the student in two equal installments during his/her first two terms of attendance. Recipient must maintain a B average and meet minimum attendance requirements to be granted the scholarship during the second quarter. (Download forms below)
Tennessee Scholar Scholarship
The Tennessee Technology Center at Harriman offers a $300 annual scholarship ($100.00 per term) to pay educational expenses for a career training program offered at TTC-Harriman.
To receive this scholarship, the high school graduate must:
- Have completed the Tennessee Scholars Core Course of Study and graduated as a Tennessee Scholar.
- Complete an application and other admission requirement for enrollment in the Technology Center within two years of graduation from high school.
- Present the TN Scholars Certificate to the Financial Aid Officer of the institution.
- Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This is a requirement in order to receive the Wilder-Naifeh Technical Skills Grant.
NOTE: Tennessee Scholar graduates who have previously attended another post-secondary institution who may not be eligible for the Wilder-Naifeh Technical Skills Grant will still be eligible to receive the $300 annual scholarship.
To retain the scholarship from term to term, the TN Scholar must:
- Maintain satisfactory progress and attendance as required by the institution.
- Maintain continuous enrollment to complete the program within 150% of the time allocated for the program of study.
