William Stakely, IMT student, chosen as "Head of Class" for Malco Products, Inc.
William (Andy) Stakely, a member of the Industrial Maintenance Technology class at the Tennessee Technology Center at Harriman was chosen for the Malco Products, Inc. “Head of the Class” program. On behalf of Malco Products, Inc., Mr. Stakely was presented a set of five “MAX2000” Aviation Snips and a certificate of achievement by TTC-Harriman’s Director, Danice Turpin. Malco Products, Inc. was founded in 1950 and is a market pioneer with its unique line of specialty hand tools for the Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Trade (HVAC). Once each school term, Malco Products recognizes outstanding students who are graduating from an accredited Building Trades, HVAC or Auto Body Repair course of instruction. The Malco “Head of the Class” program awards these top students a significant tool prize and a recognition certificate for their achievement. In addition, the entire Industrial Maintenance Technology class received a Malco cap and an entry card for a gift certificate drawing for $500 worth of tools. Since its inception in 2005, the “Head of the Class” program has touched over 5000 students representing 120 Trade Schools or Union Locals across 26 states.
