Practical Nursing Questions

Is your student interested in the Practical Nursing Program?

Tennessee Technology Center at Harriman fully supports students who are interested in the nursing field. We strongly recommend that interested students take classes in math and health science during high school.

They can also log on to www.testprepreview.com/nursing_practice.htm for practice material. There are links at the bottom of the web page which will give quizzes over their choice of topics. Students should pay particular attention to “Essential Math Skills” or “Reading Comprehension Skills”.

Students may also prepare by taking a nursing assistant class immediately after graduation. This provides valuable experience and will help them decide if a career in nursing is right for them. It is important that they know the requirements for admission into the Practical Nursing program prior to graduation.
